Tagros acquires Bayer flubendiamide assets to expand global footprint

Tagros Chemicals India has acquired Bayer’s flubendiamide business across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific, strengthening its global presence and expanding access to advanced crop protection technologies for farmers.
According to Targos’ statement, the transaction covers Bayer’s flubendiamide active ingredient portfolio, including both standalone and combination formulations, along with associated business assets and trademarks such as Belt, Fame, Fenos, Fenos Quick, Belt Expert, and Tihan. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Flubendiamide is a diamide-class insecticide widely used to control pests in crops including rice, cotton, vegetables, pulses and fruit. The products are known for their targeted mode of action, long residual activity and favorable safety profile, making them a key tool in modern integrated pest management programs.
For Indian farmers, the acquisition is expected to improve access to established crop protection solutions backed by consistent quality and technical support. Tagros said its manufacturing scale and local market expertise would help ensure a reliable supply while supporting efforts to improve farm productivity and reduce crop losses.
The deal also gives Tagros a stronger international footprint, providing access to more than 25 markets across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific. It further consolidates the company’s position in the diamide segment, one of the most important classes of insecticides globally.
As part of the transaction, Tagros is entering the branded formulations business through Arqivo, a newly established entity that will house the acquired portfolio. The company said Arqivo will focus on building farmer-facing brands, expanding field-level engagement and delivering products tailored to local agronomic conditions.
