Rainbow Agro enters UK and Ireland through partnership with AgTIgrow

Rainbow Agro, a top-ten global crop protection supplier and China’s largest exporter in the sector, has entered the United Kingdom and Ireland through a distribution partnership with AgTIgrow, a firm led by industry veteran Simon McMunn. The move marks a further step in Rainbow’s broader European expansion strategy and is aimed at improving access to its products for British and Irish growers.

Founded in 2000 by six chemical engineers, Rainbow Agro has grown into a vertically integrated enterprise spanning active ingredient synthesis, formulation, regulatory compliance and field support. The company operates in more than 100 countries and manages a portfolio of more than 300 active ingredients, 5,000 formulations, 8,500 registrations and 330 patents. Its global platform includes ten manufacturing sites, two research and development centres and a regulatory team of more than 200 specialists.

Mr. McMunn, founding director of AgTIgrow, said the partnership is grounded in shared standards of technical quality and operational transparency. “Having visited crop protection factories around the world for more than 30 years, I was truly impressed by Rainbow’s facilities in China,” he said. “It’s a technology-driven company that strives for excellence at every stage. This confirmed that our partnership is the right move to bring top-quality, new alternatives to our agricultural communities in the UK and Ireland.”

Under the agreement, AgTIgrow will provide local commercial and technical support, while Rainbow will supply its expanding portfolio of crop protection products. The companies said the combination of global manufacturing and regulatory capacity with local distribution and advisory services is intended to make product delivery “smarter, faster and more accessible”.

Regina Gnatek, Rainbow’s Europe regional sub-area head, said the UK and Ireland entry is a significant milestone for the company in Europe, complementing its positions in Latin America, Asia and Africa. “Our mission is to provide British growers with solutions they can trust, backed by the combined expertise of Rainbow and AgTIgrow,” she said.
