ClearCost launches fertilizer-focused trading platform in Canada

ClearCost has introduced a commodity trading and risk management platform designed specifically for Canada’s bulk fertilizer market, positioning the service as a tool to bring greater transparency and efficiency to a traditionally opaque segment of the agricultural inputs sector.
The company integrates trade, finance and logistics functions into a single system that connects fertilizer buyers and sellers, enabling price discovery, electronic contracting, secure payments and cargo tracking. According to ClearCost, the platform is designed to mitigate transaction risks and streamline each stage of the trade lifecycle.
ClearCost’s mobile applications for buyers are currently available in the Canadian market through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, while a web-based portal for sellers is open to verified dealers worldwide. The company says the service does not require subscription fees, with charges applied only to completed sales.
The platform provides real-time pricing data for fertilizers and fuels, delivery-tracking features for buyers, and tools for sellers to identify demand across the Prairie provinces. ClearCost also promotes its settlement system as offering additional security through legally backed trust arrangements.
Based in Regina, Saskatchewan, the company describes its system as the first open fertilizer-specific CTRM platform in Canada, designed to expand market access for suppliers while providing farmers with a more direct route to inputs.
