Nano-Yield to supply nanotech for Agroenzymas crop treatments

      Share

Nano-Yield, a Utah-based developer of agricultural nanotechnologies, has entered into a partnership with Agroenzymas, a crop-input supplier operating in 13 countries, to enhance nutrient and active ingredient delivery in plants. The collaboration will integrate Nano-Yield’s liquid nanoparticle platform into a select line of Agroenzymas products used in both foliar and soil applications.

The agreement is part of Nano-Yield’s broader effort to expand in Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Initial integration will focus on high-value crops such as soybeans, citrus, and grapes, particularly in Brazil, Mexico, and India—markets where nutrient efficiency and environmental sustainability are growing priorities.

“This partnership supports our mutual goal of raising efficiency in agricultural solutions,” said Britney Hunter, Growth and Analytics Manager at Nano-Yield. “By combining our delivery technology with Agroenzymas’ formulations, we can help farmers achieve better results with fewer inputs.”

Agroenzymas, headquartered in Mexico and operating on five continents, has developed crop-enhancement products for more than 35 years. Its offerings support nutrient uptake, improve fruit quality, and aid recovery from environmental stress, including drought and heat.

Nano-Yield’s technology is designed to increase the efficiency of these products. Its platform uses nanoparticles that carry thousands of molecules into plant cells through endocytosis—a cellular process that enables compounds to move across membranes. This is intended to boost the consistency and speed of nutrient absorption.

In foliar applications, the particles adhere to plant surfaces for improved penetration. In soil-based use, they support nutrient delivery to roots. Both firms say this dual application method allows for more targeted, efficient use of inputs.

While financial details were not disclosed, Agroenzymas reports that its products are used on more than 2 million hectares globally.

Agricultural input suppliers worldwide are increasingly adopting nano-formulation technologies as they respond to pressure to reduce environmental impacts and manage volatile fertilizer costs. Precision delivery systems like Nano-Yield’s are viewed by many in the industry as a potential avenue for achieving these objectives without compromising yield.

Privately held Nano-Yield is based in Sandy, Utah. Agroenzymas operates in Latin America, Europe, Asia, and parts of Africa.
