DE SANGOSSE, a global provider of agricultural biosolutions, has announced the establishment of a new subsidiary in Athens, Greece. The move highlights the company’s efforts to expand its international presence while advancing sustainable agricultural practices.

The Athens-based subsidiary aims to support Greek farmers in adopting biosolutions tailored to the country’s diverse agricultural landscape, which includes crops like olives, citrus fruits, and vineyards, as well as cotton, kiwis, melons, strawberries, and tomatoes. Greece’s agricultural sector presents an opportunity for DE SANGOSSE to contribute to the development of environmentally friendly farming techniques.

This initiative aligns with the company’s mission to drive the agro-ecological transition through solutions in plant nutrition and protection. According to Nicolas Fillon, CEO of DE SANGOSSE Group, the new subsidiary reflects the firm’s dedication to addressing agricultural challenges directly at the local level. Fillon emphasized the importance of collaboration with Greek distributors and farmers to ensure the effective application of advanced technologies, fostering the sustainable development of the sector. Christos Spiliopoulos, an experienced agricultural engineer and PhD holder with three decades of expertise in the international biostimulants and biofertilizers market, is heading the Greek operations.

DE SANGOSSE’s entry into Greece strengthens its position as a provider of biosolutions and underscores its commitment to offering practical, eco-friendly solutions for modern agriculture. With the new subsidiary, the company aims to play a role in addressing the environmental and economic challenges facing Greek farmers.

Is it a Roundup lawsuit or more about bad financials? I think the market reacted only to announced financial results.

Europe is falling behind in this field. The concerns 30 years ago was reasonable. Now not so much. We need crops that can survive in a more extreme future climate. Handle droughts and hot weather better. Crops that are less tasty to pests like hogs and deere.
