Russia may extend the fertilizer export quotas

The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia may extend quotas on the export of mineral fertilizers for the next year, said Minister Dmitry Patrushev.
“The export will be limited until the end of this year to provide domestic farmers with enough fertilizers for the next year’s sowing campaign. We’ll see the results of this decision and, if necessary, it will be further prolonged,” said Dmitry Patrushev.
According to the statement of Dmitry Patrushev, this year, Russian companies plan to increase the output of mineral fertilizers.
“This is extremely important in the current conditions. If the chemical companies produce the declared volume of mineral fertilizers, it will be possible both to meet the demand of the domestic market and provide foreign customers with an opportunity to purchase our fertilizers,” noted Dmitry Patrushev.
