Agrimin starts to build a new plant for its potash project

Australian company Agrimin has found a contractor to design the plant and associated infrastructure for its Mackay potash project.

The Mackay project provides for the construction of an enterprise that will produce 426 thousand tons of potassium sulfate per year. It should operate for at least 20 years. The costs of the extraction and processing of salts will amount to $200 per ton.

Earlier, Agrimin estimated reserves and forecasted resources of its project from the surface to a depth of 24.7 meters. According to the obtained data, the reserves of potassium sulfate amount to 4.3 million tons and the predicted resources to 18.9 million tons. The average potassium content reaches 3.6 mg per liter of brine.
