Rost Group plans to open a greenhouse complex in the Nizhny Novgorod region

In August this year, Rost Group plans to commission a new greenhouse complex in the city of Bor (Nizhny Novgorod region). Its area will be 17.3 hectares, investments in its construction are estimated at 5.1 billion rubles (approximately $69.7 million).

The cultivation of vegetables will be carried out using supplementary lighting of plants and automated control of microclimate and growth. The greenhouse complex is planned to produce 70 kg of tomatoes and 140 kg of cucumbers from 1 sq. m.

Rost Group intended to open a greenhouse complex already last year, however, then the launch dates were shifted to 2021.
