Orenburg region expands the sowing of winter crops

Enterprises and farmers of the Orenburg region have started sowing of winter crops. It’s planned to sow 904.8 thousand hectares of winter crops, 16 hectares of which already sown at the moment.
As winter crop is the insurance culture, its yield exceeds the yield of spring crops every year and in 2020 in particular. Out of 2.3 million tons of threshed grain, 1.948 thousand tons are winter crops. Therefore, one of the main directions was and remains an increase in the sown areas for winter cereals. So, the sowing area of winter crops next year will reach one million hectares.
